Description

In this course the co-presenters will first describe the array of leadership opportunities available to individuals in psychology, providing a range of examples. They will also explore research-supported competencies that emerging leaders in psychology need in order to serve and engage in local or global community contexts, and introduce these competencies within the framework of being an APA Citizen-Psychologist. Finally, the co-presenters will describe how participants can translate their skills and knowledge into effective advocacy in political and nonprofit/board settings.
