Description

The CASES approach was developed by the National Center for Ethics in Healthcare to assist healthcare professionals in resolving ethical dilemmas.  This presentation will define what constitutes an ethical dilemma, provide the rationale for using the CASES approach, teach the steps of the CASES approach, and provide examples of using the CASES approach to arrive at a decision about how to resolve an ethical dilemma.  Psychologists can expect to leave the presentation with a better understanding of what ethical dilemmas might look like in their day to day practice and concrete steps for how to address those dilemmas.

2.    Describe the 5 steps of the CASES approach to resolving ethical dilemmas.
