The American Psychological Association and Riverside Insight are committed to supporting psychological service providers during the COVID-19 crises. This 90-minute webinar is dedicated to the personal wellbeing and professional development of service providers during this critical time.
Within the mental health field, the practice of psychological, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational assessment has been hit disproportionately hard by the distancing, quarantining, and stay-at-home orders. So much of traditional psychological assessment relies heavily on in-person interaction and the use of manipulative materials. There is some research on digital, remote administration procedures in relation to some tests and measures, but these literatures are limited. This webinar presents specific, best-practice considerations for those engaging in tele-assessment, understanding both its limitations and the need to continue the work. Original webcast date: May 6, 2020.
Learning Objectives:
• Identify workarounds, including limitations of those workarounds, for traditional test administration during this period of required distancing.
• Judiciously and ethically apply test administration alterations, including adapting test interpretation, in their own work.
