This intermediate workshop presents strategies for conducting and writing up integrated and meaningful psychological assessments. Particular focus is on multimethod, integrated, and person-focused evaluations and reports. Participants are introduced to critical components of conducting and writing effective and integrated assessments and reports, including making assessment findings clear, individualized, specific, and meaningful for the client and other audiences. Participants learn specific steps to better organize and integrate assessment data and write it up.  Original webcast date: August 4, 2020.

  1. Recognize and describe core components of effective assessments and report writing.
  2. Select and utilize specific strategies provided to strengthen assessment and report writing.
  3. Increase integration and individualization of all assessment data available (interview, observations, testing, etc.) into a well-written report.

Presenter

A. Jordan Wright, PhD, ABAP

Dr. Wright is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology at New York University. He has numerous assessment focused presentations, led several APA assessment guidance documents, and held leadership positions with APA. He is the author of Conducting Psychological Assessment: A Guide for Practitioners, 2nd Ed. (2020), co-author of the sixth edition of the Handbook of Psychological Assessment (2016), editor of the Essentials of Psychological Assessment Supervision (2019), and lead author of the Essentials of Psychological Tele-Assessment (2021).
