This intermediate workshop presents ethical considerations for mental health professionals working in integrated care settings while taking into account supporting and conflicting laws, regulations, and professional standards.  Participants learn the most common ethical issues facing professionals working on interprofessional teams and acquire tools for ethical decision making in the face of ethical conflicts that arise in integrated care settings. Original webinar date: October 6, 2020.

This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers for 2.5 continuing education contact hours.

Learning Objectives

•    Describe ethical principles and standards of most relevance to mental health professionals working in integrated care settings.
•    Apply an ethical decision making model to resolve ethical issues that may arise when working as a mental health professional in an integrated care setting.
•    Describe best practices for avoiding ethical conflicts when working as a mental health professional in an integrated care setting.

Presenter

Tiffany Chenneville, PhD, EdS

Tiffany Chenneville, PhD, EdS is the Marie E. and E. Leslie Cole Endowed Chair in Ethics at the University of South Florida where she also is a Professor and Chair of the Psychology Department. She holds a Joint Appointment in the USF Department of Pediatrics where she serves as a Behavioral Health Consultant for the Pediatric and Adolescent Infectious Disease Program. Dr. Chenneville is licensed as a psychologist in the state of Florida and is a nationally certified school psychologist.
