A focus of this introductory workshop is on the impact of trauma on behavior and brain development. The presenters discuss health disparities regarding reporting and substantiation of trauma among racial and linguistically diverse groups. Culturally competent and evidence-based assessment and interventions techniques, as well as limitations of current models of care, are explored. An examination of how multidisciplinary integrated health care settings can help improve access to care, facilitates exploration of techniques to screen for trauma among vulnerable and diverse populations. Original webinar date: October 15, 2020.
